SQL DBA

MicroPulse is currently looking for a SQL DBA, who will provide consulting services and hands on technical support to our clients. This is a direct, full time position with benefits. We are looking for someone who can help customers choose the best technology solution for their needs and implement and support the solution. As a consultant with MicroPulse, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects using Microsoft technologies.

Primary Responsibilities:

Overall SQL database management including monitoring and troubleshooting
SQL database performance tuning and optimization
Database upgrades and/or migrations
Database backup and recovery
Physical and logical database design and architecture
Analyzing system usage and growth patterns for database capacity planning
SQL scripting and development to include stored procedures, triggers, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS

Education and Qualifications:

2 years SQL database administration
Microsoft SQL database design and optimization
Experience with Microsoft SQL database development and scripting
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently on a project and as a team player

The ideal candidate will have several years of practical IT experience and the ability to confidently deliver on projects. Much of this work will be project based so delivering the project on time and within customer expectations is essential. Some of this work will entail general system administration and support, assisting customers in resolving issues. Candidates must possess good verbal and written communication skills as they will be interacting with clients and other team members, as well as providing documentation to customers.

Software Developer

MicroPulse is currently looking for a Software Developer, who will provide consulting services and hands on technical support to our clients. This is a direct, full time position with benefits. We are looking for someone who can help customers choose the best technology solution for their needs and implement and support the solution. As a consultant with MicroPulse, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects using Microsoft technologies.

Primary Responsibilities:

Application development and scripting
Developing programming code for existing software enhancements
Troubleshooting and debugging existing code
Testing code and fixes to ensure quality
Development, testing, implementation and documentation of custom Microsoft software applications
SQL scripting and development to include stored procedures, triggers, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS
Interaction with customers and business analysts in the design and creation of software features
Support and/or installation of software applications and operating systems

Education and Qualifications:

Experience with Microsoft development technologies including .NET, VB, C#, C++
Experience with Microsoft SQL database development and scripting
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently on a project and as a team player
Practical experience with Object Oriented Programming, Design and/or Analysis

MicroPulse is currently looking for a Systems Engineer, who will provide consulting services and hands on technical support to our clients. This is a direct, full time position with benefits. We are looking for someone who can help customers choose the best technology solution for their needs and implement and support the solution. As a consultant with MicroPulse, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

Consulting, implementation and management of server and storage technologies
Active Directory configuration and management
Server maintenance, upgrades and patching including hardware and operating system
Data storage, management and backup including SAN implementation and management, offsite backup, replication, etc.
Server, desktop, and application virtualization with VMware, Microsoft and/or Citrix
Implementation, upgrade, management and troubleshooting of Exchange email platforms
Configuration and management of complimentary emal solutions such as ActiveSync, Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES), spam filtering and email archiving
Network implementation and support with Cisco and Brocade technologies (not required)

Education and Qualifications:

5 years IT system administration or engineering
In depth experience with at least one of these technologies: VMware, Exchange, storage/SAN or data backup solutions
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently on a project and as a team player
