Solutions Specialist
MicroPulse is currently looking to fill a position for a Solutions Specialist, who will provide consulting services and hands on technical support to MicroPulse clients. This is a direct, full time position with available benefits. We are looking for someone who can help customers choose the best technology solution for their needs and implement and support the solution.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Overall SQL database management including monitoring and troubleshooting
· SQL database performance tuning and optimization
· SQL scripting and development
· Database upgrades and/or migrations
· Development, testing, implementation and documentation of custom Microsoft software applications
· Interact with business analysts in the design and creation of software features
· Support and/or install software applications and operating systems
Education and Qualifications:
· Microsoft SQL database design and optimization
· Experience with Microsoft SQL database development and scripting
· Practical experience with Object Oriented Programming, Design and/or Analysis
· Experience with Microsoft development technologies including .NET, VB, C#, C++
· Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
· Ability to work independently on a project and as a team player
The ideal candidate will have several years of practical IT experience and the ability to confidently deliver on projects. Much of this work will be project based so delivering the project on time and within customer expectations is essential. Some of this work will entail general system administration and support, assisting customers in resolving issues. Candidates should also possess good verbal and written communication skills as they will be interacting with clients and other team members, in addition to providing documentation to customers.
