John Wood began his tenure with MicroPulse this week. John came to MicroPulse from GAF/Elk MC (the roofing shingle maker) in Tuscaloosa where he and his family currently reside. Despite what you may think, John is a much better technician than roofer, which is why we like him so much. Even though John lives near the University of Alabama, his BS in Business (MIS concentration) came from Auburn and he is a die-hard fan. John was also a Corporal in the Marines back in the late 90s.
John has held various IT positions over the years but was hired by us most predominantly for his development skills. Since our incorporation, MicroPulse has dabbled in developing and maintaining custom Microsoft applications written in .NET, SQL, SharePoint and Access (I know, I know). Hiring John allows us to offer more software development services, especially in .NET, and support existing customers with growing application needs.
John enjoys spending time with his family and baking bread when hes not commuting back and forth from Tuscaloosa to Birmingham. If John could go back in time and meet anyone it would be Ronald Regan because he was the last great President.
