Baxley, Dillard, Dauphin, McKnight & Barclift is a law firm based in Birmingham that was started in 1979 by Bill Baxley, former Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General. Baxley Dillard is a litigation practice that represents individuals as well as some of Alabama’s largest corporations. The firm currently has several litigation attorneys as well as their support staff.

Baxley Dillard’s technology environment is not complex enough to warrant a full time IT person. Because of this they were looking for a firm who could provide the appropriate level of support without incurring the expense of a full time employee. Many clients with this profile find themselves in a similar situation and must contend with these issues as well as:

Solution

Our Managed Services start with an audit of the customer’s environment to become intimately familiar with its layout and nuances. We will then make recommendations of items to address and begin implementing our support tools based on the customer’s needs.   Once these tools are in place, we can provide proactive support such as system monitoring, alerting on issues, trending, ensuring successful backups, verifying antivirus updates, and checking various log files. In addition, we will provide any reactive support and perform special projects such as system upgrades. All of these activities are rolled up in a monthly report that is provided to Baxley Dillard to keep them informed and hold us accountable for our actions and commitments.
